Dreams are the anticipation of the unknown mind

Dreams are harbingers of the unknown mind

The human subconscious is wonderful, connected to the past, pointing to the future, a harbinger of the unknown. Dreams reveal the tip of the iceberg of the subconscious mind, giving us a glimpse of the future. Dream, in fact, is the omen of the unknown psychology.

After sleep, the activity of some organs, including the sensory organs, triggers dreaming. The content of dreams is related to our expectations, intentions, worries and other psychological trends. Dreams are subconscious phenomena, dreams will show the symptoms of the subconscious, dreams are the exposure of the subconscious. The subconscious mind can be understood as the shadow of the soul, and when the soul chooses things, the shadow will act in accordance with the body or the opposite - this is why there are negative and positive dreams. Dreaming of things that do not exist, but also show the overflow of character, dream is the reference of life, although the subconscious is influenced by the conscious consciousness, but the reality will make the subconscious get the most correct approach. When the dream begins, there is no control, and even can be understood as - people live in two worlds, reality and dream. The way to understand dreams and crack dreams is to think about them with the subconscious mind. Dreams are all around us. If you want to apply dreams, you must first understand them, contact them, intervene in them, and then you can make good use of them.

Sometimes, people find that the scenes in their dreams will appear in reality, as if they had predicted the events to happen. In fact, such dreams are also called 'prophetic dreams', and this is one of the incredible human potentials.

A woman dreamed that she met her long-lost brother in front of a store on a certain street. The next morning, she went shopping, and it was there that she met him. It was like a dream all over again. This is a typical 'dream of precognition'.

Between brothers and sisters, there is a mysterious connection, which can be hidden in the subconscious. The dream, on the other hand, is a window through which the subconscious is peered, through which the mysterious connection is revealed, so that the separated relatives can meet in the same place.

Dream, this wonderful 'window', not only reflects the mysterious spiritual connection between people, but also reflects the subconscious forward-looking thinking and subconscious insight.

There was a psychiatrist who liked to read medical journals. That night, after reading an article about a stroke, he dreamed that his father was lying on the ground, white face and dark lips, teeth clenched, hands clasped, limbs spasmed, and he could not scream. The doctor had a dream about his father's stroke, and he woke up with it for a long time. Early in the morning, the doctor was about to call home to ask how his parents were doing. Unexpectedly, the phone rang and the doctor's mother told him the bad news that his father had a stroke when he got up in the morning.

This dream, in fact, is the embodiment of 'subconscious forward thinking'. Humans are 'subliminal forward-thinking' creatures, such as science fiction writer Asimov, who described a 'spacewalk' with considerable precision in 1952, 13 years before the actual spacewalk. Before going to sleep, the doctor read an article about stroke, which mentioned that obesity can cause stroke. He thought of his father's overweight body in his hometown, and thought that he might die of a stroke. Then he thought of 'reasonable worry', and this worry was composed in the dream, which was really reasonable. The scene in the dream is the conscious reflection of the subconscious mind. As for the doctor's father's stroke, in addition to his own physical factors, perhaps because they were connected, the doctor felt his father's pain.

In addition to the 'subconscious forward thinking', we also need to consider the 'subconscious insight' in dreams, which can be divided into physical and psychological insights. In his book Dreams and Nightmares, Dr. Hafedder mentions a 'prophetic dream' that may be both:

A man dreamed several times that his arms and mouth were in a state of spasm due to paralysis. A few months later, his dream came true when he was fixing the radio when he suddenly developed partial paralysis in his hand. Later, he went to the hospital and found that his paralysis was a complication of syphilis.

What is puzzling is why the patient had a warning sign of complications of syphilis in his dream months ago. From a physical point of view, although syphilis is hidden, it is not visible from the outside, but the patient's body may have been damaged, has been slightly attacked in the past, and the subconscious has sensed something wrong with the body. As a result, the subconscious mind will relate these symptoms that are too small to be detected by the conscious mind to the past behavior, so that in the subconscious mind, the patient may have been infected with syphilis worries, in the dream, these worries are active, in the dream performance, indicating the future syphilis attack scene.

As mentioned earlier, physiological stimuli can be the material and source of dreams. The human brain and body have very rich neural connections. When the body has a pathological problem, during the day, because people are mainly focused on coping with work and life, they will suppress the nerve reflex signals from the body, and some small symptoms will not be noticed, which is why people will forget the skin itch or body pain when they focus their attention. But subconsciously, no matter how small the physical condition will be noticed, and recorded. After the rest of the night, the repression is relaxed, and the subconscious replaces the conscious consciousness and dominates the body. At this time, the nerve signals from the body are received by the brain tissue, and the subconscious activates the memory points in the corresponding regions of the cerebral cortex, which are connected with each other and turn into dreams. These dreams are symbolic expressions of weak signals before or when physical diseases occur, so they have the role of predicting and reflecting physical and visceral diseases, and can be interpreted through dreams to maintain physical health. At night, we are less sensitive to external stimuli and more sensitive to stimuli from the internal organs, and the Swiss psychologist Jung said that dreams can 'call our attention to the initial unhealthy state of the body.'

The American psychologist Fromm also refers to a 'dream of precognition' that contains psychological insight:

At one point, Sass and Richard met to discuss their future career cooperation. Sass was so impressed with Richard that he decided to make him his business partner. The night after the meeting, Sasse had the following dream: 'I saw Richard sitting in the office we shared, going through the books and changing some of the numbers in the books to hide the fact that he was embezzling a lot of money.' When Sass wakes up, he feels that the dream is caused by his hostility and suspicion towards Richard, and he forgets the dream and formally partners with Richard in business. A year later, Sass found out that Richard really had embeded a large amount of public money and had disguised it by cooking the books.

Fromm suggests that the prophetic nature of the dream may indicate Sass's insight into Richard when they first met - Sass's subconscious perceives Richard's untrustworthiness from the outset. Our impression of a person is not as simple as we would like to believe. Sasse intuitively thinks that Richard is dishonest, but Richard's external image gives Sasse a very good impression. He repress the bad thought that Richard is dishonest (it is always bad to suspect people in the first place), and this repressed thought is difficult to surface in the sober mind. But they were active in their night dreams, producing dreams of a prophetic nature.

In addition to reflecting subconscious forward-looking thinking and subconscious insight, 'prophetic dreams' also have a mysterious side. A person who cares about the omens provided by dreams is also likely to make dreams 'self-fulfilling prophecies.'

The story about Zhu Zhu, a great scholar in the early Qing Dynasty, said that Zhu Zhu liked to eat duck meat, and when he was young, he dreamed that he was walking through the countryside and saw a large pool in which thousands of ducks were raised. The boy guarding the pool said to him, 'This is the food for your life.' Later, when Zhu Zhu was 81 years old, he was confined to bed due to a small illness and dreamed of returning to the big pool he had dreamed of when he was young and found only two ducks left in the pool. After he woke up, feeling ominous, he warned his family not to cook and kill the ducks again. I can't think of her daughter just come back to visit, know that her father likes to eat duck meat, killed two ducks at home, specially brought to honor his father. Zhu Zhu saw the two cooked ducks and sighed, 'Is this the end of my life?' That night, he died.

This is the 'self-fulfilling prophecy', Zhu Zhu believes in the dream prophecy, and warned the family not to kill the duck, but 'human calculation is not as good as heaven', to see the two ducks sent by his daughter, his psychological defense line collapsed, perhaps this is the case, so that his condition worsened, died. This shows that many ancient people believed that some dreams of foreknowledge were inevitable, that heaven wanted to die, that man had to die, that it was better to defy heaven, and that it was ultimately false.

There is a 'Niu Fei' in 'Liaozhai Tales' that says: 'A villager bought a cow, which is quite robust. One night, a dreamed that the cow had wings and flew away, he woke up and felt that this was an ominous dream, and suspected that he would lose something, so he took the cow to the market for sale at a discount. He wrapped the silver he had sold in a cloth and wrapped it around his arm. On his way home, he saw an eagle by the side of the road eating the carrion of a dead rabbit. Before a approached, the eagle was very tame and did not fly away, so he tied the eagle's legs with a cloth head, and then wrapped it around his arm and continued on his way home. The bound eagle flapped and flapped along the way, and without a little attention, the eagle flew up into the sky carrying a cloth covered with silver.'

Here, the dream prophecy of 'the cow grows wings and flies away' was symbolically fulfilled. We can say that this is a person who was implied by the dream and fulfilled the prophecy. But if a person does not think the dream is ominous and sells the cow, the cow will also be lost in other ways. Some precognition dreams foresee things that are inevitable, and it can even be said that actions taken because of the anticipation of the future tend to cause the future to happen.

Dream and thinking are to use images, they weave different images together, play the role of memory chain, greatly facilitate the follow-up thinking and dream retrieval memory bank. In the daytime complex information stimulation, people are easily confused, lost focus, blind spots. But in nighttime sleep, some of the information more closely related to self-safety and development will be stronger than others, because they are always stored in areas related to safety or adjacent to each other, with well-established neural links, and dreams will also begin to set up new neural pathways between them and their associated mental content. This makes for a very important dream. In other words, dreams play a role in sorting out the intricate reality of life, grasping the key points, reminding or warning the most important problems, which is conducive to eliminating the blind spot of consciousness and predicting the future.
